We want to show young people that data isn’t scary, but that it is the key to enhancing your ‘advocacy ask’ and promoting true accountability.

Using our experiences, we want to point young people in the direction of websites and resources where they can easily access the data on issues that they are interested in, be it on local, regional, or national levels. In case where there is no official data on an issue you would want to lobby the government on, we want you to know how to collect primary data, and which is the best method to use depending on the type of data you want to collect. We have also recommended an easy, step-by-step guide to using data to hold the Government to account and identify the key decision-makers to lobby.

It is this guide which we have called our ‘Accountability Toolkit’, please check it out:

How to collect your own primary data

Most importantly, we want to show that this is something that all young people are able to do, regardless of their educational background, age, experience, etc.
If you have any questions, contributions, or would like our advice, do feel free to contact us – we are happy to help others in their accountability actions!
